Amallo, Relay and OpenCharUI are one project split into three pieces: a desktop agent, a self-hosted meeting point, and a browser client. All of it exists so your own Ollama stays yours: reachable from anywhere, without routing your conversations through a service that meters or stores them.
Most ways to reach a home Ollama from outside your LAN mean an inbound port, a VPN, or a hosted relay that can read what passes through it. 41tunnels picks the third option deliberately, but tries to be honest about the trade-off rather than hide it: the OpenAI-compatible path is plaintext on Relay by default, and the paired path is end-to-end encrypted instead. Both are one Go binary and one small desktop agent, self-hostable, and released under AGPL-3.0 so the claim is checkable rather than taken on trust.
